Introduction
The COVID pandemic has affected people of all ages, but 75 percent of the proven cases of coronavirus have been in the frail population. Frailty is a complex and multisystem syndrome that is distinct from ageing. COVID-19 disproportionately affects older people living with frailty - it is even described in the literature as an accelerated frailty process. Understanding and recognising the atypical presentation of COVID in the frail, elderly population is key to early intervention and successful rehabilitation.
