Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is a common pathology provoking vertigo and nystagmus induced by changes in head position. In the majority of cases, this dysfunction can be successfully treated with complete resolution of the symptoms in just one session.
During this webinar, Bernard Tonks will discuss and demonstrate the assessment and treatment of BPPV through a series of case studies. These comprehensive case studies will encompass the common variants of BPPV, canalithiasis and cupulolithiasis in both the horizontal and vertical semi-circular canals. This webinar builds upon prior knowledge of BPPV pathology.
If you are new to this topic it is highly recommended that you first complete Bernard's course on Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, to learn about the pathology, different types of nystagmus with video examples, assessment and treatments of BPPV.
The aim of this webinar is to provide clinical reasoning in the assessment and treatment of patients with BPPV through case study examples. Bernard will also demonstrate these techniques and answer questions from the audience.

Excellent webinar!! Bernard Tonks simplified BPPV in one hour! This is a must-do webinar for anyone who has patients with dizziness.
The presenter has great knowledge of the subject and mentions the current practice in BPPV. To make the most of this seminar, a good previous knowledge base is required. That said, the information is recorded and transcripted and I am definitely keen to review it and absorb it in my own time. I signed up for this webinar because I've had a couple of patients on my medical ward recently with BPPV and it would be good if I could follow the treatment through rather than the patient having to go to the ENT medical specialist in another hospital.
Thanks, Bernard for a concise and yet accessible webinar. I really enjoyed it and have had my appetite whet for more learning in this area!
Bernard has presented four common BPPV case studies with efficiency, clear explanation and logic that would improve any clinicians confidence to recognise and treat BPPV. He does well to make the varying different BPPV treatment options make more sense. If you have a basic understanding of BPPV and need a refresher on assessment and treatment options then this webinar is definitely worth your hour.
