An increase in the rehabilitation needs of COVID-19 patients following their discharge from the hospital is to be expected during the pandemic. Rehabilitation services in local communities are often the best-placed to provide rehabilitation and long-term care. Community-based physiotherapists will be key in the ongoing rehabilitation of survivors of COVID-19 to optimise the recovery of these patients.
This course aims to provide you with knowledge on the rehabilitation needs of COVID-19 patients following discharge and the rehabilitation strategies that community-based physiotherapists can apply to optimise the recovery of these patients.
This course is made up of videos, reading, forum posts and a final quiz. The course content is split into the following sections:

Physiotherapist, United Kingdom
A very informative and thought-provoking course looking at the need for understanding the care and rehabilitation for post covid patients. It gives insight into how recovery can be adversely affected if we do not understand the physiological changes that may have occurred. Really interesting and informative.
This is a well-structured course with a lot of resources and related articles. You will feel more confident with your clinical practice, after completing it.
Physiotherapist, United Kingdom
Although I'm an occupational therapist, I found this course interesting and important as its focus on community rehabilitation.
Physiotherapist, Saint Lucia
This was a great course that not only expanded my clinical knowledge but gave me a greater insight into the collaboration of not only different disciplines but also between physiotherapists working in different areas of rehabilitation. It is great to see with some retraining all physiotherapists can assist in the rehabilitation of COVID patients. As a non respiratory physiotherapist I now feel I have knowledge and skills to provide rehabilitation services to this group of patients within my practice or in the community. Thank you for another great course Physioplus Team 🙂
