I am a sports and remedial manual therapist. I work in a sports medicine clinic and routinely see male patients with low back pain, perineal pain, suprapubic and pelvic pain, hip adductor stiffness and sciatica. These symptoms are nearly always MSK-related in current elite male athletes. However, the course has helped me recognise these may also be clinical signs of prostate cancer or prostate-related disease. I now encourage PSA testing in my clinical practice for all former male athletes over the age of 50 with these presenting conditions.
