A myofascial chain is a line of connective tissue that runs throughout the body. These chains are important for functional movement, coordination and stability, and they help the body move as a unit. They can, however, also be a cause of pain and structural weakness. By understanding myofascial chains, you can better understand injuries and movement limitations. In this course, the second in a series on upper limb myofascial pain, you will learn about the four myofascial chains of the arm.
This course aims to introduce the myofascial chains of the upper limb and describe how myofascial dysfunction can present in a clinical setting.
This course is made up of videos, reading, discussions and a final quiz. The course content is split into the following sections:
- Reading activity
This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.

I would definitely suggest this course. In my opinion, the myofascial system is a large part of what we as physical therapists treat if patients complain about musculoskeletal pain. Dr. Pandya explains the arm lines very clearly and has clear examples of patients who might have problems in specific myofascial chains.

The creators have clearly put in an incredible amount of time and effort to create such in-depth courses, and I am grateful for these accessible and worthwhile online courses, especially the international connection they promote. Thank you so much for the courses and all you do for our profession and our patients.
One thing that impressed me about this online course is if I have a question, there is always a quick response (the discussion forum is available all the time). This is critical when distance is involved. Excellent content and videos that build on your knowledge, reinforce, and then expand. The quizzes were well designed and very good learning tools.
