About Glykeria Skamagki
Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy. She has a special interest in Occupational health and musculoskeletal conditions.
Glykeria Skamagki is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Coventry University and currently working both clinically and academically. Her areas of interest are occupational health and musculoskeletal disorders, sports rehabilitation, education and teaching strategies. Glykeria graduated from ATEITH in Thessaloniki, Greece where she worked as a clinician before moving to the UK. She then worked both in the NHS and sports field followed by ongoing work in private practice specialising in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. She gained an MSc at Sheffield Hallam University in Applying Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Since 2014 Glykeria joined the academic team at Coventry University teaching both the UG and PG programme and completed her postgraduate studies in Teaching in Higher education with the award of a Senior fellowship. She is currently conducting research on a PhD project at CU with a focus on chronic musculoskeletal conditions at the workplace and the ageing workforce.
