Helene Simpson is a registered physiotherapist in South Africa. She developed a special interest in foot and ankle injuries after she volunteered at the sports practice on the University of Cape Town Campus, a practice she later purchased and ran independently. Helene completed her thesis on ankle sprains, has lectured at the University of Stellenbosch, presented at international conferences and has presented her foot and ankle workshop internationally. She was also a contributing author on a book about ankle sprains. She participated as a clinical expert physiotherapist at the Proceedings of the International Consensus Meeting on Cartilage Repair of the Ankle, specifically related to the topic of post-operative treatment, in Pittsburgh, USA in 2017, and Dublin 2019.
