Jason Giesbrecht is a seasoned physiotherapist and healthcare executive with 30 years of experience
spanning the full continuum of care — from rehabilitation and primary care to acute care, mental
health and substance use, long-term care, and digital health. Known for translating complex health
system challenges into practical, results-driven solutions, Jason has led large-scale transformation
initiatives and clinical operations with budgets exceeding $65 million and teams of more than 1,500
staff.

Throughout his career, Jason has held senior leadership roles — including Executive Director and Chief
Operating Officer — across both public and private healthcare sectors. His entrepreneurial ventures
reflect the same drive for innovation: he co-founded PhysioFITT, a technology-integrated mobile
physiotherapy company offering in-home and online services across British Columbia, and is the
principal consultant at RehabLeadership, a global platform providing leadership development
resources to rehabilitation professionals. His blog, PhysioFuturist, explores the future of physiotherapy
through the lens of technology and innovation.

Jason has taught graduate-level leadership courses in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of
British Columbia and at Fiji National University, with academic partnerships spanning Western Canada,
the South Pacific, and the Middle East. He has facilitated numerous leadership and emotional
intelligence workshops, co-authored e-books on leadership, and been published in peer-reviewed
medical journals. His global reach extends beyond the classroom: Jason has led health system
improvement projects in Central America, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia, applying his
leadership experience and practical knowledge to strengthening health systems internationally.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the
University of Saskatchewan, a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta, and
a Graduate Certificate in Health Systems Leadership from Royal Roads University. He is a certified EQ-
i/EQ360 Practitioner and an Achieve Global Leadership trainer.

Outside of work, Jason can usually be found in the Canadian backcountry—hiking, running, skiing,
camping, mountain biking or fishing – with family close by.
