Merike Hopkins is an Orthopaedic Physiotherapist from South Africa with an energetic interest in sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. Merike has extensive experience in conditioning programs, biomechanical screenings, and optimizing sports performance among high-level athletes. She has been the Chief Physiotherapist for swimmers of all levels, including for the South African team at the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008. Moreover, she has been the Team Physiotherapist for athletes engaged in touch rugby, soccer, cricket and rowing. She is well qualified to address management strategies for overuse injuries in sport. Merike is also an athlete in her own right, regularly enjoying running and tennis.
