The War Trauma Rehabilitation (WTR) Project was launched in June 2022 with the support of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The initiative is also supported by the European Union and Nova Ukraine. The Project is implemented by the Charitable Foundation «Patients of Ukraine» in close cooperation with national stakeholders and partners: the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the National Health Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Adviser, President’s Commissioner on Barrier-Free Society Issues, the Ukrainian Catholic University, the All-Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapists, Protez Hub, etc.

The WTR Project is aimed at building the capacity of the national network of healthcare facilities providing rehabilitation services by using modern approaches towards the provision of rehabilitation services as well as evidence-based rehabilitation equipment, expanding patient access to assistive technologies, increasing the professional capacity and expertise of rehabilitation team specialists in partner facilities, sharing experience and best practices in the field of rehabilitation, strengthening the capacity of leaders in rehabilitation, development of documenting of rehabilitation services provision in the electronic healthcare system and changing the organization of rehabilitation services at the political level.
