Men’s health physiotherapy is an emerging field of physiotherapy that is becoming more and more popular. However, formal training and education in this field are yet to be established. This area of practice pertains to all areas of men’s health but it also has a special focus on male pelvic health, where the majority of patient concerns stem from pelvic pain, incontinence and or sexual dysfunction. In this programme, Pierre Röscher will cover some of the most important topics in the field of male pelvic health physiotherapy.

This programme will introduce the participant to important ethical issues pertaining to what the men’s health physiotherapy scope of practice may look like. Important male anatomy is discussed, and areas of pelvic pain, incontinence and sexual dysfunction are covered. Students are also introduced to some of the assessment and treatment principles, and prostate cancer rehabilitation principles are outlined.
