Introduction

The diaphragm is an extremely versatile muscle. Not only is it the primary breathing muscle, it also plays an important role in trunk stability, balance and gait. Because of its many functions, this muscle should be considered in the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals who have low back pain, balance or gait deficits and those who are post-mechanical ventilation. Understanding the many functions of the diaphragm is a necessary step in learning how to rehabilitate this muscle. Thus, this course discusses the diaphragm in detail.

I enjoyed this course and its structure. I acquired new theoretical knowledge, which supports my clinical reasoning for practice. Thanks to the additional hyperlinks, I enriched my catalogue of exercises to strengthen the diaphragm. (Google Translate)
