Introduction

Patellofemoral instability is a complex orthopaedic condition that frequently affects children and adolescents. While first-time dislocation is often managed conservatively, as many as 36 percent of patients will have recurrent instability. Various risk factors have been identified that increase the risk of recurrent instability. Understanding each client’s unique presentation is essential to determine the optimal management.
