Introduction

Tennis Elbow (TE), also known as Lateral Epicondyle Tendinopathy, is a degenerative condition caused by overuse. Some people may present with bilateral pain when gripping which impacts their daily activities and functional tasks. Following on from the Tennis elbow assessment course where we explored the causes and physical examination of Tennis Elbow, in this course you will learn about the evidence-based management options for this condition and how to design a multimodal programme for your patients.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • identify at least 6 management options for Tennis Elbow
  • justify the benefit of patient education in Tennis Elbow management
  • discuss the 2 principles of load management in Tennis Elbow
  • plan an exercise program with progression for a person with Tennis Elbow
  • select 3 pain management measures in Tennis Elbow treatment

Target audience

This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
