Introduction
Deep gluteal syndrome causes buttock pain that can radiate into the posterior thigh or leg, affecting quality of life, including everyday activity and sport. The differential diagnosis is challenging, as several structures may be involved. In this course, Tanya Bell-Jenje works through the differential diagnosis and management of deep gluteal pain conditions. Two related courses cover sacroiliac joint involvement and gluteal tendinopathy.

At the end of this course you will be able to:
- describe the anatomy of the deep gluteal space and the key symptoms of deep gluteal syndrome
- differentiate between potential causes of deep gluteal syndrome
- select appropriate assessment tests and management approaches for deep gluteal syndrome
Target audience
This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
