Dr. Teresa Bisson graduated with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2002 from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and earned her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, in 2015. She has extensive knowledge in neurologic physical therapy, with particular expertise in working with individuals who have experienced a stroke, TBI, SCI, or multiple sclerosis. Most of her early career was spent practicing in the acute care, inpatient, and outpatient settings at the world-renowned Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Bisson discovered her love of teaching as an adjunct professor at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles in 2008. She was a member of the core faculty at the University of Minnesota from 2014 through 2024. She has a passion for educating healthcare professionals and improving access to healthcare services for people living in areas with limited resources.
