About

Dr. Dana Palmer is a physical therapist with a special interest in the integumentary system, wound healing, and amputation prevention. She has a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from A. T. Still University. Dana has experience in multiple settings throughout Canada, Micronesia, and the United States. While practising in the remote Northern Mariana Islands, she developed a multidisciplinary diabetic foot and wound clinic that reduced major lower extremity amputations by 71 percent. In addition to wound care, Dana has a passion for women’s health, nutrition, and Pilates. Her experience working in isolated areas with minimal resources informs her teaching style, keeping her mindful of financial and practical considerations in treatment planning.
