Glykeria Skamagki is an Assistant Professor in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham. Her areas of interest are occupational health, musculoskeletal disorders, public health, education and teaching strategies. Glykeria graduated from the International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki, Greece where she worked as a clinician before moving to the UK. She then worked both in the NHS and sports field followed by ongoing work in private practice specialising in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. She gained an MSc in Applying Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University and a PGCert in Academic Practice in higher Education in 2016. She has also completed her PhD project at Coventry University in 2022 focusing on the management chronic musculoskeletal conditions at the workplace and the ageing workforce. Since 2014 Glykeria joined academia teaching both the UG and PG programme.
