Patients seek help from healthcare professionals in order to find answers to their questions. They want to know what is causing their pain, how to get better and what their treatment options are. Conveying this information requires a set of skills to empower patients to make informed decisions and engage effectively in their treatment. Aims
The purpose of this course is to present the explanation and planning step in the Calgary-Cambridge model which involves providing feedback to the patient and discussing treatment options to support informed and shared decision making.

Target audience
