Introduction

Knee arthroplasty, or knee replacement surgery, is a common, but major surgical procedure. Patients benefit from skilled rehabilitation both before and after knee arthroplasty, regardless of the type of replacement performed. This programme covers prehabilitation and the impact of surgical factors on recovery, before exploring home-based rehabilitation across its initial and progressive stages. It equips clinicians with practical interventions from pre-surgical optimisation through to functional recovery in the home setting.

Target audience

This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
