Still a physio. Just not in a treatment room.

Most of our team trained clinically, and many still practise. For others, this work is what let them step back from a full caseload, change pace, or take a break, without leaving the profession behind.

What they were all after was a different shape of working life. Hours they set themselves, around whatever else they are doing. Work that fits in a laptop, so it travels with them. Everyone here works from wherever in the world they choose to be.

If you have ever wondered what else you could do with your degree, this is one of the answers.

What we do

Physiopedia is the world’s largest free resource for physiotherapy and physical therapy knowledge. Physiopedia Plus is the professional development platform alongside it, delivering accredited courses to physiotherapists and physical therapists everywhere.

Our vision is to be the world’s most trusted, accessible platform for physiotherapy and physical therapy education and professional development.

Our mission is to provide high-quality physiotherapy and physical therapy education to professionals worldwide, supporting their learning and career development from student to expert.

That is not an abstraction. What we publish reaches therapists working in places with almost no other access to current evidence, and through them, their patients. 33.8 million people used our knowledge last year.

What you could actually do here

People are often surprised by the range. A physiotherapy or physical therapy degree is a better qualification for this work than it looks.

Course production

Working with instructors to turn their expertise into structured, accredited online courses.

Media and video

Editing instructor recordings into finished course videos, and designing the media that carries
the teaching.

Teaching and instruction

Designing and delivering courses in your area of expertise.

Partnerships and programmes.

Working with universities, clinics, national associations and global health organisations.

Some of these roles need experience you already have.
All of them need someone who learns quickly and works independently

What it is like

People are often surprised by the range. A physiotherapy or physical therapy degree is a better qualification for this work than it looks.

Part-time, by design.

Every role we offer is part-time. That is not a limitation we apologise for, it is the point. It means you can keep practising, keep studying, keep parenting, or keep whatever else matters
to you

Work from anywhere

And we mean anywhere…Not hybrid. Not “remote-friendly”. Our team works from wherever they happen to be. Some work from home. Some have spent months at a time working while travelling. Nobody has ever been asked to relocate or to sit in an office.

Your week, your shape.

Early starts, late evenings, four long days or six short ones. Play on the sunny days and catch up when it rains. What matters is that the work gets done and that you are around when the team needs you.

Full access to Plus

We meet in person when we can

at conferences and team gatherings.

Have fun and make a difference.

A phrase we actually use. We would rather work with people who mean it.

"Working at Physiopedia Plus is perfect for me. Every day, I learn something new –  from clinical knowledge, research skills to content creation. Plus offers autonomy, flexibility and freedom. I can work from wherever, whenever. And I get to work with an amazing team of people from across the world! There’s no limit on what you can do either. I started with just managing the online forums before becoming a learning architect and then course creation manager, where I get to be involved in every step of the course creation journey. I even added AI prompting to my skillset as I now create the PAI learning activities."
Jessica Bell - New Zealand
"I love the flexibility of working remotely, which allows me to be a mom and homeschool my children while still keeping a foot in the physiotherapy world and keeping my knowledge up to date. The flexibility of remote work allows me to structure my day around my family while continuing to work and pursue my career. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside amazing colleagues from all over the world, learning about different cultures and the different ways physiotherapists approach patient care around the world. This has not only deepened my knowledge of rehabilitation but has also allowed me to make friends I may never otherwise have met. Physiopedia Plus’ commitment to high-quality educational content is particularly important to me, as are its values and passion for rehabilitation, which I wholeheartedly support. It is a privilege to be part of such an amazing team, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to do work that I genuinely enjoy."

Being straight with you

Some things about how we work suit certain people and not others. Better you know now.

You work with us, not for us.

Everyone here is engaged on contract, and that is deliberate. It means no pension or paid leave from us, but it also means you keep your independence: your own clinic hours, your own other clients, your own decisions about how much you take on and when. For most of our team, that freedom is the whole reason they are here.

They are part-time

If you need a full-time salary from one place, this is not that.

We are small.

There is no HR department, no formal career ladder, and no one to tell you what to do next. That suits people who like autonomy and frustrates people who want structure.

The work is real and the standards are high.

Flexibility is not the same as an easy ride.

What every role needs

People are often surprised by the range. A physiotherapy or physical therapy degree is a better qualification for this work than it looks.

Great written communication.

We are distributed and largely asynchronous. Almost everything happens in writing, and doing it clearly matters more here than it would in an office.

A self-driven work ethic.

You will work independently, take initiative and see things through. Nobody will be watching over your shoulder, and we would not want to.

Curiosity and an appetite to learn.

Physiopedia changes constantly. There is always more to learn than there is time to learn it.

Respect for others.

We work with contributors and users on every continent, with different first languages, different training and different clinical contexts. Assuming your own way is the norm does not work here.

How our hiring works

We interview, and if that goes well we do a real piece of work together on a paid contract, typically two to six weeks depending on how much time you can give it.

This is not an unpaid test. It is how we find out whether we work well together, and how you find out the same about us. Most of our team joined this way.

Who we are looking for

We value a diverse team and an inclusive culture. We welcome applications from everyone, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, marital status, citizenship or disability.

Our users are in every country and territory in the world. We would like our team to look like them.
