Introduction
Lisfranc injuries disrupt the metatarsal bones causing displacement. Direct or indirect trauma to the Lisfranc joint complex can cause joint dislocation, sprain, ligament rupture or fracture of the bones. It is important to be able to identify these injuries as the diagnosis is missed or delayed in 20 percent of cases. In this course, Helene Simpson discusses the diagnosis of Lisfranc injuries and conservative management options.
