Introduction
There are an incredible number of protocols for managing ankle fractures. However, two main management trends exist: a traditional approach with incremental weight bearing after 6 weeks; and an early mobilisation approach. Each protocol has different outcomes. This course discusses the differences between these protocols, but focuses on early mobilisation. It also provides some practical tips for patient management.
