Introduction
Rehabilitation professionals must conduct thorough and detailed assessments to create appropriate and efficient therapy plans of care and interventions. Often, rehabilitation professionals do not have direct access to advanced medical diagnostic and imaging equipment. They must, therefore, rely on assessment techniques that can be performed at the bedside to assist in determining therapeutic interventions and the need to refer to other medical disciplines. This webinar explores the assessment of patients with lower limb impairments using patient case studies and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) model as a framework. The assessment techniques covered in these webinars are explored in more depth in the Understanding Basic Rehabilitation Techniques Programme.
