Learning, Acting and Building for Rehabilitation in Health Systems

ReLAB-HS

About

Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Learning, Acting and Building for Rehabilitation in Health Systems Consortium (ReLAB-HS) is a global project that will support the development of health systems that are responsive to the growing needs for rehabilitation within populations. It seeks to co-design and implement innovative, comprehensive, cost-effective interventions that strengthen health systems for the provision of rehabilitation, including assistive technology.

ReLAB-HS is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is implemented under cooperative agreement number 7200AA20CA00033. The consortium is managed by the prime recipient, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Featured Review
As a physiotherapist in a hospital setting, I have been significantly enriched in working effectively in a team and learned the different considerations to build a solid and successful team. It has guided my ability to do well in intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams.

Rehabilitation Infrastructure and the Rehabilitation Team
I am an Occupational therapist, and I have gained a lot from this course, including learning about teams that I have never worked with but could be very important in different settings. I learnt about teamwork and having a shared treatment plan. It was a very educative course every rehabilitation team member needs.
Yasin Lukwago
Rehabilitation Infrastructure and the Rehabilitation Team
This course taught me how to work with other professionals when drawing a client care plan and how much a client can benefit from such a multidisciplinary plan with one professional implementing it.
KINTU EDMUND
Rehabilitation Infrastructure and the Rehabilitation Team
The course was rich, and I learnt a lot. It gives you the freedom to read and study on your own time and is based on evidence-based practice. It contained plenty of details.
Rebeca Kusasira Namayengo
Rehabilitation Infrastructure and the Rehabilitation Team
It is an excellent course that introduces the participant to the WHO's guidelines and their development regarding "disability". There have been tremendous changes over the years, and we in the US are not yet up-to-date with the core principles. In my own words, the idea that "no one is perfect" is enshrined in the ICF...and though we all say it, I am not sure we all mean the same thing. Nevertheless, the ICF identifies how this can be true in a personally-neutral way. Great class!
