Introduction
Burn wound injuries are associated with high mortality rates due to potentially severe complications and place a critical economic burden on healthcare infrastructures worldwide. These injuries are common but require skilled training to efficiently and effectively manage healing to provide the best outcome for persons who experience these traumatising injuries.
This programme is geared towards non-physician healthcare professionals with wound care experience who wish to deepen their knowledge of the care and management of burn wound injuries.

This programme will provide background knowledge and the practical clinical skills to effectively manage and treat burn wound injuries.

This course is aimed at rehabilitation professionals, students and assistants including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Doctors, Rehabilitation Nurses, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietetics, Social Workers. Community Health Workers, Nurses or Medical Doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
