During the last four years, Diane has focused exclusively on wound care and participated in developing a burn programme. She received a Certified Wound Specialist certification in 2000 and maintained this certification until 2020. In 2014, she also received a post-graduate certificate in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. Diane is a member of the American Board of Wound Management, the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, the American Burn Association, and the APTA and TPTA (including the Academy of Electrotherapy and Wound Management). She has a long history of presenting on wound management at state and local conferences and providing lecture and laboratory experience for physical therapy students at Texas State University, Austin Community College, and the University of St. Augustine. Diane retired from active practice in March 2021.
