We constantly hear terms such as displaced person, refugee, and asylum seeker. This course will help explain these terms. It will also explore factors influencing an individual's decision to leave their home and the difficulties they may experience in the country where they find a safe haven. This course will focus on developing an understanding of the key terms and concepts surrounding displacement.

The aim of this course is to explore key terms and concepts that are relevant to global displacement.

This course is aimed at rehabilitation professionals, students and assistants including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Doctors, Rehabilitation Nurses, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietetics, Social Workers. Community Health Workers, Nurses or Medical Doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
