Introduction
Prolonged conflicts, forced displacement and mass migration are significant issues in the 21st century. In 2021, at least 89.3 million people worldwide were forced to flee their homes due to conflict, violence, fear of persecution and human rights violations. These sorts of traumatic experiences can impact an individual's physical, psychological and social well-being. Displaced persons with traumatic experiences often report significant levels of chronic pain. This course will explore the evidence-based assessment of pain in these individuals.

This course aims to provide an overview of an evidence-based approach to pain assessment in displaced persons.

This course is aimed at rehabilitation professionals, students and assistants including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Doctors, Rehabilitation Nurses, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietetics, Social Workers. Community Health Workers, Nurses or Medical Doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
