Introduction
Shoe modifications remain essential for people with foot conditions or deformities who cannot find suitable standard or off-the-shelf orthopaedic footwear. This course explores both upper and lower shoe modifications and discusses how to apply specific adaptations to improve patient comfort, function, and mobility. Through expert instruction and practical demonstrations, learners will understand the biomechanical principles underlying shoe modifications and gain the technical knowledge needed to prescribe and evaluate modified footwear that enhances patients' quality of life and functional independence.
