Introduction
Stroke is a diagnosis of extreme consequences. It can change every aspect of a person's life and function in the blink of an eye. Stroke management can feel challenging for survivors, their support systems, and treating clinicians alike. This stroke programme provides a holistic overview of stroke: its physiological causes, anatomical implications, and clinical consequences. You will learn about the common symptoms of different stroke types, including the motor, sensory, cognitive, and emotional presentations. This programme has a strong clinical focus, preparing you to return to the clinic with new tools and a clearer understanding of how to guide stroke survivors from the acute setting through their return to school, work, and play.
