Your language, your learning. Physiopedia Plus (Plus) courses are available in six languages, translated by expert human translators with physiotherapy knowledge, and members can interact with PAI (the Physiopedia AI Assistant) in any language, making quality professional development more accessible than ever for physiotherapists around the world.
Imagine sitting down to study after a long clinical day. The course topic is exactly what you need, directly relevant to your patients and your practice. But the language it is written in? Not quite yours. You find yourself working twice as hard: once to understand the content, and once to translate it in your head.
For many physiotherapists around the world, this has long been the reality of accessing online continuing education. At Physiopedia, we believe that where you grew up, and what language you think in, should never determine the quality of professional development available to you. That belief sits at the heart of Physiopedia Plus.
There is something that shifts when you read, learn and think in your first language. Concepts land more easily. Confidence grows. You can focus on the clinical content itself, rather than the effort of decoding it. This is precisely why expanding multilingual access has been such a priority for us.
Plus courses are available in English, and translated into five additional languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Ukrainian. Across these languages, our growing library currently includes over 800 courses in English, and of these 343 in French, 482 in German, 491 in Italian, 58 in Spanish and 392 in Ukrainian. Crucially, every translation is carried out by people, not automated tools. Our team of skilled translators brings not only language proficiency but physiotherapy expertise, ensuring that clinical meaning, context and nuance are preserved, not just words.
Physiopedia has always been a global project. As the world’s largest rehabilitation website and a charity committed to making high-quality knowledge freely available across the globe, our platform is built by and for the worldwide rehabilitation community. Translating physiotherapy education is part of how we live out that commitment, reducing disparities in access to professional development, particularly for those in conflict-affected and low-income countries where resources are limited. When you hold a Plus membership, you are not just investing in your own professional growth; you are helping to fund free access to education for colleagues around the world who need it most.
Language support on Plus does not stop at course text. Members also have access to PAI, the Physiopedia AI Assistant, which can be used in any language. Whether you want to explore a clinical concept in more depth, ask a question mid-course or get a quick summary of a topic, PAI is there to help, and it will respond in whichever language you use. This means the entire learning experience, not just the course content, can feel like home.
Expanding multilingual access is not a project with a finish line, it is an ongoing commitment from our team and our community. Every course added in a new language represents another professional who can engage with continuing education without language standing in the way. We are proud of how far this has come, and there is more to come.
If you are a Plus member, we encourage you to explore the courses available in your language at Physiopedia Plus. And if you have colleagues who have previously felt excluded by language barriers in online learning, please do share this with them. Plus offers professionally translated courses in French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Ukrainian (alongside its English library) with every translation carried out by human experts with physiotherapy knowledge, so that professionals everywhere can access education that truly makes sense in their language.
