Introduction

In this sixth course on the Pelvic Girdle Musculoskeletal Methodsm, or PGM Methodsm, Deborah Riczo introduces an algorithm of exercises, the PGM Method Pelvic Balancing exercises that are designed to provide pain relief and improved function. These exercises can easily be applied in a clinical or virtual setting and be prescribed as home exercises for patients.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • choose the appropriate pelvic balancing exercise and dosage from the PGM method to prescribe, based on case scenarios
  • plan an appropriate pelvic balancing strategy that uses the PGM method for an individual with pelvic girdle dysfunction based on case scenarios
  • identify the appropriate dosage for each pelvic balancing exercise in the PGM method

Target audience

This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
