About

When Pam qualified as a physiotherapist in South Africa 50+ years ago, the physiotherapy tools were massage, electrotherapy and exercises. PNF and Bobath were just starting to make their mark on practice, followed by Maitland mobilisation techniques. Over the years, Pam has closely followed the neuroscience of motor control and development, as well as the evidence that supports task and context oriented intervention approaches for children with movement difficulties. She adapted her practice to reflect these new insights and now has a passion for sharing these ideas.

It is a valuable course. Pam Versfeld seems very passionate and knowledgeable about children with special needs, mainly persons with cerebral palsy.

Family-Centred Intervention and Early Diagnosis
I am a postgraduate pediatric PT student. This course gave me a basic idea about family-centred intervention and problem-solving approaches. The examples given by Pam Versfeld were the highlight of the course. I will indeed be applying it in my clinical practice. Great course!
