ACL injuries are unfortunately common in many sports. The consequences following the injury are devastating and can be career-ending for many athletes. By planning a thorough rehabilitation program, physiotherapists have a major role to play in a successful outcome and preventing future complications. A good understanding of existing deficits, functional and sport-specific needs, and setting realistic time frames are the keys to building a road map of rehabilitation for your patient including return to sport.
This programme of courses aims to help you plan the complete rehabilitation after an ACL repair
This programme consists of four separate online courses and an assignment:
- ACL Introduction
- ACL Rehabilitation – Acute Management After Surgery
- ACL Rehabilitation Planning
- ACL Rehabilitation – Return to Sport and Re-injury Prevention
- Final assignment
This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
