Introduction
Environmental physiotherapy is an entirely new field of physiotherapy practice, research and education. It is concerned with exploring the relationship between the environment, human health and functioning in relation to all aspects of physiotherapy. This course provides an overview of environmental physiotherapy, its relationship to parallel developments across healthcare and society at large, and the many questions it raises. Because this is a field that is under development, this is not a typical course aimed at passing on existing information. Rather, it is an effort to inspire and invite you to think, ask questions, research, practice and get involved in the development of this urgently needed and exciting new area.
