Introduction
When working with animals, it is essential to understand their basic behaviours. If you are able to interpret signs of anxiety, fear, pain or discomfort, you will be better able to ensure your personal safety, as well as the safety of animals in your care and other bystanders. The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the science of equine and canine behaviour, communication and learning strategies, as well as safety considerations, to enhance your animal practice.
Aims
This course aims to familiarise you with the fundamentals of animal behaviour. It also aims to introduce specific precautions that must be considered when working with canine and equine patients to enhance your management strategies.

Target audience
This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
