Introduction
A number of therapists battle with the structure of their clinical examination. It can be useful to develop standard practice protocols. Following these protocols means that you reduce the chance of a poor outcome. These protocols should be specific to your patient demographic. This will help you guide your patient effectively and ensure important steps aren’t missed during the assessment.
Aims
The aim of this course is to develop your confidence to conduct a thorough physiotherapy assessment in an outpatient setting.
Outline
This course is made up of videos, reading, discussions and a final quiz. The course content is split into the following sections:
- Video 1: General Examination in an Outpatient Setting
- Video 2: Upper Extremity Sensation Testing
- Video 3: Lower Extremity Sensation Testing
- Video 4: Hoffman's Reflex Testing
- Video 5: Ankle Clonus Test
- Video 6: Deep Tendon Reflex and Upper Motor Neuron Testing
