Introduction
Infants born before 37 weeks gestation are considered preterm. Premature birth can have various consequences, including motor delays and / or disabilities. Due to their early birth, these infants require increased time to develop and reach motor milestones. This course will detail terminology for preterm babies. It will also describe primitive and tonic reflexes and righting reactions as infants move through their developmental stages.
