Introduction
According to the World Health Organization, caesarean section (C-section) accounts for more than 1 in 5 of all childbirths worldwide. This number will likely increase to nearly a third of all births by 2030. Often life-saving, C-sections can put birthing parents at risk for ongoing pain and loss of function long after giving birth. C-section scars are more than just skin deep; they involve multiple layers of tissue, including subcutaneous tissue, fascia, peritoneum, and uterine muscles. If not properly cared for, these scars can lead to various complications, including restricted mobility, significant pain, and functional issues in other parts of the body.
In this recorded webinar, Fiona Healy, a leading clinician in postnatal care, delves into the latest research on effective scar mobilisation techniques. She provides practical demonstrations of hands-on soft tissue and scar management techniques to improve tissue quality and mobility. Join us for this practical demonstration to enhance your skills in soft tissue management.
