Malaysian physiotherapists embraced both Physiopedia and the Physiopedia AI assistant (PAI) to streamline the process of updating strategies and resources for the profession at a recent national meeting with Ministry of Health representatives.
Physiopedia played a key role in a recent 3-day meeting where physiotherapists from across Malaysia, including representatives from the Malaysian Ministry of Health, gathered to update strategies and resources for the profession. Participants frequently referenced Physiopedia as a trusted source, citing it in discussions while refining care protocols, best practice statements, student information packages and models of good care.
The Physiopedia AI Assistant (PAI) – an AI tool designed specifically for rehabilitation professionals – was also used during the meeting. As the only AI assistant focused on rehabilitation, PAI is powered by the extensive Physiopedia database and developed by rehabilitation professionals for rehabilitation professionals.
Globally, stories of how PAI is transforming physiotherapy practice are emerging daily. During the meeting, PAI was used to support the refinement of guidelines, ensuring they were evidence-based, concise and aligned with international best practices. The tool assisted in suggesting alternative phrasing, providing relevant references, and supporting fact-checking, making the process more efficient.

The integration of Physiopedia and PAI into these discussions highlights their growing role in supporting evidence-based practice. With participants actively referring to Physiopedia as a key resource, its influence extended beyond a reference tool – it contributed to the refinement of professional guidelines and protocols.
“It was encouraging to see Physiopedia widely used as a reference throughout the workshop, contributing to discussions and informing key decisions. I also had the opportunity to use the Physiopedia AI Assistant, which greatly supported the refinement of best statements by providing evidence-based suggestions and improving clarity. A huge thank you to the Physiopedia team for providing such a vital resource that continues to empower physiotherapists worldwide!” –
