This award is given to the individual who has contributed the most to Physiopedia content this past year. This award goes to Jess Bell who absolutely smashed it with the most edits to our content.
The sheer volume of work and attention to detail has been incredible. Jess, you’ve helped keep our content fresh and relevant for rehabilitation professionals everywhere, we’re so grateful for your dedication to providing evidence-based knowledge!
Physiopedia Superstar
The superstar award is given to the person who has made outstanding contributions by an individual to Physiopedia.
Uchechukwu Chukwuemeka is one of those people who just makes everything better. As a consistent and long-term content editor, Uche is not only reliable but genuinely lovely to work with. Always supportive, always there when we need help, you’re a true star!
Best Project
Collaboration with partner organisations brings incredible depth and expertise to Physiopedia’s content. This year’s most impactful partnership project truly raised the bar for what we can achieve together.
This year, we are highlighting the efforts of Ewa Jaraczewska for managing a content creation project with the World Health Organisation. Ewa coordinated with international experts to develop 21 courses on Physiopedia Plus and related Physiopedia content through the Optimising Function Through Rehabilitation programme. This was no small feat, Ewa, you made it happen!
Social Media Impact Award
In today’s digital world, reaching rehabilitation professionals where they are, on social platforms, is crucial to our mission. This award celebrates the person who’s transformed how we connect online.
This award goes to Lenie Jacobs, who has completely transformed our social media presence this year. The video content has been amazing, we’ve had massive engagement improvements and even some videos go viral! Lenie, you’ve helped us reach people we never could have before.
Plus Superstar
Continuous learning is at the heart of professional excellence. This award recognises the individual who’s shown exceptional commitment to their own development through Physiopedia Plus.
It takes curiosity, time and dedication to complete courses and learning activities, and we would like to acknowledge the efforts of Stephen O’Mahoney who has collected the most Physiopedia Plus Points. Stephen, your dedication to professional development is inspiring!
Outstanding Leadership
True leadership means inspiring change and building capacity in challenging environments. This year’s leadership award goes to someone who’s done exactly that on a global scale.
Larisa Hoffman has continues to lead rehabilitation teams in Uganda and Ukraine through implementing IRETT workforce development initiatives. The work being done through these projects has a significant impact for the communities involved. Larisa, your leadership is making a real difference where it matters most.
Innovation Award
This award highlights the creativity and innovation occurring within our team that makes a wider contribution to our profession. This year’s honour goes to Tarina van der Stockt who totally embraced our Physiopedia AI Assistant in ways we hadn’t even imagined!
By integrating AI-supported learning activities into Physiopedia Plus courses, Tarina is helping us pioneer something completely new in e-learning. We’re literally the first platform doing this kind of thing, how cool is that? Thank you for helping us move with the AI times.
Impact Award
This award goes to an individual whose work has had a significant impact on the profession. This year the award goes to Shala Cunningham, the person behind so much of what you see from Physiopedia in the academic world.
From organising our research data to creating conference abstracts and getting our work published, Shala makes sure the world knows about the amazing things happening here. Just look at our publication list this year! Articles in multiple journals and presentations at conferences from Japan to South Africa to the US. None of this happens without Shala’s incredible work.
Special Mention: Best Photo
And for something a bit fun, Matt Huey wins for that brilliant photo of him wearing a Physiopedia t-shirt in the White House! Now that’s representing!
