Latest news - New programme of shoulder courses
We are very pleased to release a programme of three new courses related to the shoulder in collaboration with Ian Horsley who is Lead Physiotherapist in the North West for the English Institute of Sport. We highly recommend you take a look at these three key topics Frozen Shoulder – Do We Have the Cold, Hard Facts? Subacromial Space Impingement – Space Invaders and Sternoclavicular Joint Dysfunction. Don’t forget you can ask Ian questions in the forum!
The Physioplus score provides a measure of your learning activity on this site over time. To be awarded Physioplus points you need to access a resource on the site. Each access will be recorded and displayed in your Activity log. Points are also awarded for participation in the forum and for quizzes. Points for quizzes are only awarded for quiz passes (scores greater than 80%)
Physioplus annual score tracker
The Physioplus score tracker shows how your score has increased over time for each year of your use of the site. The tracker is designed to encourage you to remain engaged with your learning over the year and also to measure your progress versus previous years.
Physioplus badges are rewards for meeting targets for engagement with your learning. As you accumulate badges, subsequent badges will become
increasingly challenging to achieve (e.g. the 5 chapters badge is awarded when you have
recorded in your Activity log that you have completely read 5 book chapters). Badges are awarded for the following number
of completed learning activities 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300, 500, 1000. Your dashboard displays the last ten badges you have been awarded. Click on the Badges heading
to view a table listing all your badges.
Please note that badges are only awarded for completed learning activities (i.e. partially read / listened / viewed resources and failed quizzes will not count towards badges).
The Physioplus site offers a set of courses which each provide a structured self directed learning experience focused on a particular subject.
Each course includes a set of required activities which are indicated by orange icons on the course page. The progress bars in the courses box on the dashboard
display the proportion of the Physioplus points on offer for a course you have been awarded. When you have completed all the required
activities for a course and recorded this in your activity log, the course will be shown as completed here.
Note - you cannot complete a course if you only partially complete the required learning activities.
My activity log
When you access a learning resource on the site this activity will be recorded in your Activity log. Each resource offers
Physioplus points which you will be awarded when you record the level of your engagement with the resource in the Activity log. The proportion of the total available points awarded
depends upon the level of engagement recorded. So partially reading a book chapter will be awarded less Physioplus points than completely reading the chapter.
You activity log is a permanent record of your learning activity on the Physioplus site and can be used as evidence of your CPD activity.
The dashboard displays your latest activity log entries. To view all your activity log entries click the view all link below the activity log list on the dashboard.
