Introduction
Women experience significant changes as they transition from menarche through to menopause. However, there is a lack of research and education to help women approach these transitional periods with confidence. This course offers an introduction to the moments where women encounter change. It explains each phase and offers guidance to help women through these transitions.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- describe menarche, menstruation and menopause
- explain the relevant anatomy and physiology for menarche and menopause
- discuss signs and symptoms associated with the transitions to menarche and menopause
Target audience
This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
