Introduction
Global health is a multifaceted discipline that aims to promote health, prevent disease and provide treatment across geographical, national and cultural boundaries. Social, structural, commercial and environmental determinants of health create inequitable distribution of health risks and outcomes globally. This programme explores the factors and determinants that impact health and examines how rehabilitation professionals can help address global health challenges.
Target audience
This course is aimed at rehabilitation professionals, students and assistants including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Doctors, Rehabilitation Nurses, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietetics, Social Workers. Community Health Workers, Nurses or Medical Doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
