Introduction
When treating individuals with a burn wound, it is important to remember that burns can affect many body systems. To provide effective physiotherapy treatments, we must understand the phases of healing and how different body systems, besides the integumentary system, can respond to a burn.
Aims
This course introduces how different body systems respond to a burn injury and how it affects physiotherapy management.

Target audience
This course is aimed at rehabilitation professionals, students and assistants including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Doctors, Rehabilitation Nurses, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietetics, Social Workers. Community Health Workers, Nurses or Medical Doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
