Introduction
The elbow is one of the most stable joints. We rely on this stability for our activities of daily living. Any instability caused by injury to the elbow structures can cause pain and significantly impact our day-to-day activities and athletic performance. This course discusses the anatomical structures of the elbow that provide this stability and enable functional movements, including the bony structures, articulations, ligaments, muscles, nerves and vascular supply.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- describe the bony, articular and soft tissue components of the elbow
- categorise the characteristics and roles of at least three ligaments and muscles that provide stabilisation and mobility for the elbow
- differentiate the primary nerves and blood vessels that innervate and supply the elbow

This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
