Introduction

In today’s healthcare environment, the success of a rehabilitation business or practice goes beyond clinical expertise. Business and practice management knowledge is essential for running an effective and successful rehabilitation practice. Many clinicians face challenges in this area due to limited training in healthcare economics, marketing, financial management and strategic planning. In this course, you will develop an understanding of key aspects of being a business owner, from financial planning, utilisation rates, team planning, finding premises and more. This insight will help as you plan your transition from clinician to business owner.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • discuss at least three strategies to effectively balance clinical practice with business management tasks when starting a business
