Introduction

This course explores the complex dynamics of integrating AI into healthcare professions education. It provides educators with practical strategies to integrate AI tools into their workflow and prepare future healthcare professionals to operate in AI-enhanced clinical settings. It introduces prompting techniques for large language models and explores various ethical and legal considerations when using these models. It then examines a range of AI applications in educational settings to support learning, from creating case studies, quizzes, and lecture materials to designing assessments and providing feedback.

It's important to note that AI models are constantly being updated. The information on specific AI models presented in this course is accurate as of August 2025. While the course themes remain relevant, the features of each model will continue to evolve.
