Introduction
Burn wound injuries cause significant mortality and place a critical economic burden on healthcare systems worldwide. These injuries require skilled management to optimise healing and patient outcomes. This programme provides the background knowledge and practical clinical skills to effectively manage and treat burn wound injuries. It is geared towards non-physician healthcare professionals with wound care experience who wish to deepen their knowledge of the care and management of burn wound injuries.
Target audience
This course is aimed at rehabilitation professionals, students and assistants including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Doctors, Rehabilitation Nurses, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietetics, Social Workers. Community Health Workers, Nurses or Medical Doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
